Comra is a film community space based in Sana`a, Yemen. Through Comra Academy, the organization aims at capacity building, funding, partnership and engagement with local Yemeni filmmakers. Through support consisting of training, one-to-one mentorship, and networking with leading film experts from Europe and the region, Comra Academy utilizes its platform and network to strengthen the capacities of young filmmakers. It also aims to empower them as young professionals striving to succeed in a competitive film industry in the MENA region and globally and push their visual and cinematic narrative depicting life inside Yemen. Ultimately, the training programs aim at providing these filmmakers with the tools and ongoing support necessary for them to tell their own stories to the world.
