From July 22 to 25, 2026, the 2025/2026 NAAS Research Fellows met in Marrakech for their second and final in-person Colloquium, hosted at LE 18. The gathering brought together the fellows, Fellowship mentor Omar Barrada, NAAS director Nada Bakr, and the LE 18 team.

After months of research under Barrada's mentorship, the fellows' projects are now taking public form. Omar Idtnaine opened an exhibition on Tamazight-language cinema in Morocco, tracing decades of grassroots efforts to preserve and document films long excluded from the country's official film history. 

Nour Ouayda presented her public program on translation in film, using a series of film screenings and conversation to explore subtitles not as neutral tools but as a creative and contested space in their own right.

Mahammad Kalfat and Amel Moyersoen shared their own public program plans with the group and received feedback ahead of their upcoming presentations.

The Colloquium's program also included workshops with Mostafa Dziri, an evening at the Dar al-Ma'mûn library, and a visit to Dar Bellarj, where the fellows were given a tour by the foundation director, Maha Elmadi, and guided through the Archéologies exhibition by curator Laila Hida — who is also the founder of LE 18. The group also visited ESAV, Marrakech's visual arts school, with director and filmmaker Alaa Eddine Aljem.
